Summary:

GreenTech Plus aims to strengthen Austrian-Hungarian cross-border cooperation in the field of digital and green transformation, especially in agriculture, food industry and other green sectors. The project connects actors from the AT-HU programme region – training institutions, businesses, research organisations and authorities – in order to jointly develop, test and implement innovative, sustainable solutions.

The programme pays special attention to supporting young entrepreneurs (16-23 years) and rural SMEs, helping them to apply green technologies and digital solutions, such as precision agriculture, robotics, artificial intelligence and sustainable manufacturing, in practice. Based on an analysis of regional specificities, a strategic implementation framework is being developed, providing guidance for digital transformation, education, cooperation and funding opportunities.

The project’s core elements are:

  • Implementation framework and guidelines for promoting green digitalization.
  • Competence development and training based on sustainability, innovation and digital skills.
  • Living Lab, a real-world test and development site for future technologies.
  • Mentoring program that helps at least 50 businesses and young entrepreneurs with personalized support.
  • Awareness-raising events and career guidance to strengthen interest in green professions.
  • Cross-border networking that establishes long-term knowledge sharing and joint innovation processes.
  • The aim of the cooperation is to increase the competitiveness of the region, support the development of future-proof competences of professionals working in the green sector, and facilitate the practical integration of innovative technologies into education and everyday entrepreneurial life.
