Audi Hungaria puts down the foundation-stone of a new plant
On 7th of July, the Audi factory in Győr puts down the foundation-stone of a newly built plant. At the ceremony Prime Minister Orbán Viktor and Rupert Stadler, Audi AG Chairman of the Board also involved.
Last year, on September 3 Orbán Viktor and Rupert Stadler announced that, till 2013 the Audi expands its capacity in Győr by €900 million investment. Thus the automotive industry will cover the whole process of vehicle production and make directly 1,800 new jobs. For the factory-expansion, Audi receive 11,2 billion forint support from the government.
Earlier this year, the county newspaper wrote about that in 2018 a second phase of commissioning is also included in the company's plan.
For the related questions Thomas Faustman said in March: after the expansion would be decided how to further, but it is good if space is available for development.
